Reivindicaciones de la mujer puertorriqueña
Marilyn Montalvo-Montalvo ( ) 1
(1979-06-30)

For centuries, women of all parts of the world have been subject to discrimination and prejudice. While the struggle in defense of their rights is stronger every day, in many countries the position of women in society is far from expected. Such is the case of Puerto Rican women, exploited as women and as colonized people. This paper highlights some of the elements that affect the participation of women in Puerto Rican society and the awareness that is taking place in some sectors, in spite of the obstacles it faces.
